One of the projects carried out within the STATLAB concerned the development of the app OPeDi, an interactive web application developed in the Shiny framework, designed to support the monitoring and analysis of the careers of students enrolled in the various degree courses at DISES (Department of Economics and Statistics).
This tool offers an integrated environment for interactive data exploration and reporting through a dynamic and intuitive interface. From a methodological point of view, this approach improves the transparency and replicability of the analysis of institutional data, coming from the ESSE3 system, substantially reducing the time lag associated with the traditional static analyses that characterize the evaluation of the Italian university system.
By allowing real-time monitoring of students' careers, the OPeDi app aims to lower both technical and temporal barriers to evidence-based decision-making, thus promoting more agile and informed institutional responses for the improvement of course performance.
