Mission of StatLab

The STATLAB aims to promote and carry out research, advanced training and in-depth training in the field of methodological and applied statistics.

In particolare, si occupa di:

• Design and implementation of statistical surveys, for the collection of information and data analysis, open to local requests through scientific collaborations with companies, public and private bodies, national and international institutions;
• Promotion, organization and development of seminars, thematic teaching modules, advanced training schools aimed at young scholars to spread ideas and statistical practice;
• Support activities for ordinary and advanced teaching and for the development of online courses in the field of statistics.

STATLAB activities can be traced back to:

• Research activities in the sectors of interest, making the laboratory structures and instruments available to scholars and researchers.
• Dissemination and publication of the results of the research activity carried out.
• Organization of conferences and workshops in the field of methodological and applied statistics.
• Scientific collaboration activities through participation in national and international research projects.
• Support activities for ordinary and advanced teaching and for the development of online courses in the field of statistics.

• Statistical consultancy activity aimed at internal and external structures of the University for the design and implementation of statistical surveys and for the analysis and visualization of data.
• Technical support in terms of software and hardware for the development and application of computer intensive methodologies and techniques and data analysis.
• Cooperation and collaboration activities through the stipulation of agreements and contracts with companies, public and private bodies, national and international institutions.

• Support activities for teaching and advanced training.
• Tutoring activity aimed at writing degree theses.
• Support activities for carrying out project work/internships/internships within degree and higher education courses.
• Organization of seminars and testimonials from the world of work for degree courses in statistics.
